Dordogne - Quintessentially French

Dordogne - April 19 - 23

From the moment we left the expressway, all we saw were quaint, picturesque villages, the kind you imagine every French town looks like. Although it rained our first day, the rain didn't spoil our enjoyment in driving around within just 25 miles of our gite. Everywhere we went, we saw ancient castles that have stood since before the 100 Years War, grand chateaux, narrow streets lined with centuries-old houses, 1000-year old churches, and, of course Sheila's fixer.
