We've returned to Europe for several weeks of sightseeing and visiting old friends and making new ones. We spent 4 lovely days at Lake Como with our hosts from last fall, Marco and Mira, at their beautiful Villa Maria. Although they were in the midst of renovating the villa, Mira graciously took time off to join us on the ferry to Menaggio, on the other side of the lake, and accompanied us to Lugano, Switzerland. On our last day, Marco recommended we visit the Castello far above the town of Varenna. Fortunately, we could drive part of the way and then hike the rest. That evening, we all went out to dinner where Mira and Marco showed off their new cowboy hats!
